It's time for Battle.
The week of Battle is finally upon us! It's been a very busy couple of months here at the Outlaws hideout. We've been working hard on our routines, and we can't wait to show them off at Battle. Battle is one of the most exciting competitions of the calendar year - apart from Nationals of course! Why is it more exciting than the rest? Because you get to compete twice over the two day competition. 30% of the teams score from Day 1 is added to 70% of the teams score on Day 2, this is how judges determine the winner of each division.
So what does this mean?
It means, it really is anyone's game! So even if you didn't hit zero day 1, you could possibly still be in the running after day 2's performance! Based on your teams feedback from judges, you are able to make any changes, if needed, to the routine in order to try and maximise your score. PLUS we love being able to perform twice and really show the judges and other teams our best work!
WOW, sounds thrilling! When can I come and watch?
Well lucky for you, Battle is on THIS weekend (August 10-12th, 2018) at the State Basketball Centre (291 George St, Wantirna South VIC 3152). If you want to see some healthy competition between some of the best cheerleading teams in Australia? This weekend is your chance! We'll be posting our performance times this week, so check back here soon to find out when to come and support your favourite Outlaws teams.
